pre-event gathering at 5:00 pm
including a complimentary
glass of wine & hor d’oeuvres
~ 1940’s attire is encouraged ~
Chatham during World War II by our own Scott Walker, also of Hallowed Ground Tours:
“The country is at war and Young Blue Eyes is crooning in front of a Big Band.
John Pratt is in Washington helping the War effort
by serving as one of FDR’s “Dollar a Year Men” assisting with
coordinating industrial production in the fight against Hitler.
He makes the acquaintance of two men
whom he brings back to Chatham to go duck hunting:
Gen. George Marshall and a guy named Eisenhower. “
