
A Community Day of Remembrance and Reflection
October 15 @ 10:00 am - 4:30 pm
In partnership with the National Park Service, Friends of Chatham is hosting this special event to recognize the 250th anniversary of the completion of William Fitzhugh’s Chatham Manor in 1771. The all day event will include:
- Dramatic presentations about two of Chatham’s famous women
- Music
- Tours of the Gardens and Greenhouses
- Student Art Show
- Chatham crafts demonstrations such as blacksmithing, quilting, and weaving
- Living History encampment
- Interpretative Tours by National Park Service Personnel
- COST: Free to all
Your financial support will help to defray the costs of the event. All Sponsors will be recognized on our website, in all printed materials about the event and on display cards at the event. Additionally, Sponsors who contribute $500+ to the video productions, will be acknowledged in the credits of the video. $1000 donors will also receive two tickets to the upcoming Art Auction event at Belmont on April 24th, 2022.
