FUNDRAISER PLANNED TO GIVE HISTORIC MANOR SOME NEEDED REPAIRS

The nonprofit group working to preserve Chatham Manor will hold its annual autumn fundraiser next week.
Except that, in the case of Friends of Chatham, it’s being called a “Fun-raiser.”
Scheduled Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brock’s Riverside Grill, 503 Sophia St., the supper event is called “Chatham Windows: Witness to History.” Friday is the deadline to make reservations.
The fundraiser aims to finance the refurbishment of the 18th-century mansion’s windows and doors, a project for which this is the kickoff. The friends group will brief attendees on the big undertaking, and participants can “adopt a window” if they wish. See more . . .
